I graduated from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine with a BSc (Hons) in Acupuncture, and I am a fully licensed acupuncturist.
In my practice, I integrate two schools of acupuncture – Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Five Element Constitutional Acupuncture: TCM concentrates on the symptoms of a patient’s illness and is well suited for treating a wide range of physical, mental and emotional conditions, whereas Five Element Acupuncture focuses on treating the underlying constitution of the person, on the person who has the illness, rather than the illness itself. Having the ability to integrate these two schools is truly powerful.
My training included a broad knowledge of anatomy, physiology and Western medicine, and lifestyle and dietary therapy. I have been trained to uphold the highest standards of hygiene and to abide by a rigorous code of safe practice which is laid down by the acupuncturist’s professional body, The British Acupuncture Council. I am committed to on-going professional development, and regularly undertake further training.
My practice serves Aylsham and Fakenham and the surrounding areas including Reepham, Melton Constable, Lenwade and Cawston.
I am a fully insured member of The British Acupuncture Council – the UK’s largest professional, self-regulatory body for the practice of traditional acupuncture.
The Acupuncture for Childbirth Team East Anglia is an established group of acupuncture practitioners who share a particular interest in the use of acupuncture for fertility, in pregnancy and in labour. Our aim is to promote the use of, and to increase the availability of, traditional acupuncture prior to conception, during pregnancy and in the post natal period.
